NDC Extends Solidarity to NPP Ahead of Savannah Regional Elections
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Savannah Region has extended a message of solidarity to the leadership, aspirants, delegates and members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) ahead of the party’s regional executive elections.
In a message signed by the NDC Deputy Savannah Regional Secretary, Safo Emmanuel Sadari, on behalf of the Regional Secretary, the NDC commended all NPP aspirants for offering themselves to serve the party.
Mr. Sadari described elections as an opportunity to renew leadership, exchange ideas and strengthen democratic values.
He urged the incoming NPP leadership to respect the rule of law, uphold democratic principles and place service to the people at the centre of their leadership.
He also encouraged the NPP to learn from what he described as the NDC’s record of development, tolerance, peaceful coexistence and inclusive leadership in the region.
According to him, political differences should not prevent political parties from working together for the development of Savannah.
While wishing the NPP a peaceful, transparent and credible election, the NDC made it clear that it remains committed to vigorous political competition.
“The NDC remains prepared, organized, and ready to compete and defeat you at every election, regardless of who you choose as your next leaders,” the message stated.
The NDC further urged the incoming NPP leadership to respect the law, serve the people, promote development, practise tolerance and protect the peace of the Savannah Region.
The party concluded by wishing all aspirants and delegates well and expressing hope that the elections would strengthen democracy and contribute to the progress of the region.
