Police arrest suspected accomplice in connection with murder of businessman
Police in Damongo has arrested one Bawa Abudu in connection with the gruesome murder of the Busunu based businessman.
The suspected accomplice was arrested at his place of retreat in Damongo in the West Gonja Municipal of the Savannah Region following a tip-off.
The suspect according to eyewitness report was nearly lynced by an angry mob at the point of arrest,but for the timely intervention of the police.
Before this latest arrest, police had already arrested the driver of the late businessman at Kintampo in the Bono East Region upon investigation.
According to information gathered by this source,two mobile phones together with other valuable items belonging to the late businessman were retrieved from the room of the driver, who is suspected to be highly linked with the murder of his late boss.
Background:
The late Bani Mahama David alias Science, a renowned Businessman based in Busunu was grisly murdered in the bush near Kintampo in the Bono East Region.
His lifeless body was discovered in the said bush four days after he was declared missing with all his mobile phones switched off.
There were cutlass wounds all over his body at the time of discovery- Monday August 16,2021.
The late Bani was believed to have travelled to the southern part of Ghana on a business trip when he met his untimely death.
The late businessman is the owner of Kabore Fuel Station at Busunu. He also runs a transport company and owns a shop that deals in spare parts of chainsaw machines.
He survived with a wife and two children.
Sources close to this writer from the family in Bususu have disclosed that arrangements are being made to convey the body of the late Bani from Kintampo to his hometown in Busunu for interment.
