Savannah NDC holds formal engagement with media

The Communication Bureau of the National Democratic Congress in the Savannah Region has held a formal media session with journalist in the infant region at Damongo, the regional capital. 

Led by the newly elected Regional Communications Officer, R. A.Jalil, the essence of the meeting was to familiarize with media men and woman in the region and to adopt ways to enhance the work of the media in projecting the good works of the NDC party and His Excellency John Dramani Mahama in the Savannah Region.  

In his remarks, the Regional Communications Officer commended the media in the region for the good works they were doing and urged them to remain firm and independent in the discharge of their duties.

According to him, the opposition National Democratic Congress in the Savannah Region extends invitation to the media in the region as good friends and partners in building a very resilient democracy and in holding the government of the day in checks.

He said the media is a very powerful tool in holding government in check and growing our chosen path of electoral democracy towards prosperity and progress for our nation.

The chief spokesperson of the party pledged to support journalist in the region in whatever endeavor possible to enable them effectively discharge their core mandate as the fourth arm of government in guarding our democracy against abuse.

During the open forum session, the journalist tabled some concerns for possible concideration ranging from welfare issues, logistical support inter alia.

The concerns were taken note of by the Regional Communications Director and his team for possible redress.

The Regional Communications Bureau was joined by the Communications Officer for Damongo Constituency,Mumuni Yahaya and his deputy and the Damongo Constituency Chairman, Sulemana Braimah.
